The best Blue Cheer Post ever

Som classic sludgy trash rock from Blue Cheer.....loud and obnoxious, Vincebus Eruptum is a stone-cold classic (or the worst album ever made, to some ears).....personally I wouldn't want to be without those incredible versions of "Parchment Farm" and, especially, "Doctor Please"......

Follow up album "Insideoutside" similar but not quite as good, the novelty had passed, but fans of the band will rejoice if they've had trouble finding this somewhat hard-to-find piece.

"Blue Cheer Live and Rare" is here as well, it is frankly a slipshod collction of odds and ends, (a live "Doctor Please", anyone?)....I include it because it IS a relative rarity. Also reluctantly posting "Live San Jose 1968" with awful sound quality, which includes a couple of unfinished (!) demos......enjoy.

After "Outside Inside" they decided, of course, to become "Serious Musicians", adding keyboards and horns and the like......they put out some GOD AWFUL albums, "New and Imporved", "Blue Cheer", and "The Original Human Being".....for whatever the reason, I have a copy here of "The Origianl Human Being", it has a bunch of sitar and sythesizer and a lot of crap like that on it, it is awful, and I present it as a contrast......."Vincebus Eruptum" is OBVIOUS trash.....it is also a classic. "The Original Human Being", on the other hand, is MERE trash.....moral: if you want to make obnoxious sloppy rock n roll, make obnoxious sloppy rock n roll......do not overthink things, or you will wind up ala Blue Cheer of this era, ie, a laughing stock.
