Some of the tracks on disc one don’t have vocals yet. Overall sound is gritty and crushed-together in a good way, and you can finally hear Greg’s bass at full strength. These versions make the official album sound thin and toned down.

HD albums always sounded odd, right? They never found a natural mix. By Warehouse the music had no bass at all and it felt like everybody was playing in a different room. That's why I like these rough mixes so much. They really sound like a BAND here, especially on the raging hardcore songs. But you'll need patience to wade through it all: sonics are muddy, there's a lot of repetition, and the tape on disc one runs slow.

Thank you Scott for posting so many different kinds of things. He had many albums out, but none of them are available in any format (I've even talked to the man himself). Greg Norton even did some stuff after Husker Du (Grey Matter, Shotgun Rationale, with Bob Stinson, Cheetah Chrome & Sonny Vincent). There are 3 rare pieces I would like to find in digital format, the March 1986 Warner Bros. Guide interview, We Wish You A Merry Christmas & the J.C. Memorial disc. Also, does anyone have a bootleg of their 2 Death Match shows? I still have scars from the first one!Augustus Owsley Strudel IIInoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-155561775956254405.post-73964154834697179122016-08-08T19:00:55.067-07:002016-08-08T19:00:55.067-07:00No pro wrestling?
