From Augustus Owsley Strudel III comes a single of which I was unfamiliar, the Stranglers backing a different singer, "Celia", of Celia and the Mutations,
on a pair of tracks, "Mony Mony" and "Mean To Me".....don't know the date, but kind of interesting to check out.......

ReplyDeleteYou Better Believe Me / Round And Round (Young Mutations)
Where Celia (Gollin) was backed on the a-side by Cornwall and Burnel plus Wilko Johnson (Dr. Feelgood) and Terry WIlliams on drums (Man / Dave Edmunds / Dire Straits / Graham Parker etc.)
The song is credited to Celia, Burnel, Johnson & Williams

ReplyDeleteThanks for the info on the Young Mutations, Anonymous, news to me, always wondered who "Chambon" was. I have both the Celia singles, bought at the time, and upped them both three years ago to a friend's blog. Miraculously, the mediafire link is still live, so go get them (and other rare punk goodies) at:
