999 Punk Singles Collection

Not a huge fave of mine, but 999 spit out some decent Britpunk singles ca.late 70's-early 80's.....pretty sure I've not posted this before, so if you are a "999 virgin", well, here's as good a place as any for a deflowering.

999 were originally vocalist/guitarist Nick Cash, vocalist/guitarist Guy Days, bassist Jon Watson, and drummer Pablo DeBritain. Anyway, fans of the fast/furious UK punk singles of the era can rejoice, enjoy this collection, might get something else put up today too.

01 I'm Alive/02 Quite Disappointing/03 Nasty Nasty/04 No Pity/05 Emergency/06 My Street Stinks/07 Me and My Desire/08 Crazy/09 Feelin Alright With this Crew/10 Titanic (My Over) Reaction/11 You Can't Buy Me/12 Waiting/13 Action/14 Homicide/15 Soldier/16 Found Out Too Late/17 Lie Lie Lie/18 Trouble/19 Made a Fool of You/20 Boys In the Gang/21 Brent Cross

For my jack "Emergency" was the best track, but "Nasty Nasty" and some others make this worth a listen......

    I thought thier first album was great, my top choices being;
    Me and My Desire
    Crazy
    Titanic (My Over) Reaction
    Never really punk, in my opinion, more glam-power-pop that happened to be around for the punk trip.

    I quite agree with W there, and Scott too - not really my thing, but then don't miss this: http://auralsculptors.blogspot.com/2016/07/999-euphoria-portland-oregon-13th-march.html

    Cheers, Dave Sez.

      Yes, I was off line for a bit because my cunt of a soon-to-be EX wife shut off my fucking internet, LUCKILY I have the greatest blogger support team in the universe.....I've named them all many times but they deserve the recognition: Brian, Jonder, John N, Jon S, MD Milner, Cliff, Studkid, and many more, and a special thanks to two longtimers for stepping up, THANK YOU Andie James and Dave Sez, you guys are great and I hope you stay around forever.....and just wait until I introduce you all to Madame Angela, who will be contributing her own unique (to say the VERY least) slant on things, I'm sure you will all LOVE her, not as much as I do, because I REALLY love her, ya know, but she will be an AMAZING addition to the blog, unless for some reason you find Wicca/Paganism/Witchcraft type stuff uninteresting (myself I find it to be incredibly interesting, as well as her takes on the music related to those beliefs, not to mention what an incredible FUCK she is, oh, maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but, now that I mention it, OHHHHHHH FUCK YEEESSSSS!).......all I'm saying is we are BACK, and, stronger than ever, with more stuff you aren't getting ANYWHERE else......not even on that other blog that hates me for having the audacity to post music from bands that he was not personally familiar with......I mean, honestly, how COULD I? WHAT could I have been thinking? I don't want to mention his name or the name of his super lame blog, but I would like to leave a message for him, in case any of you are unfortunate enough to talk to him please tell him, for me, to go FUCK himself
