(scott) know not a thing about these lads, other than what you can read in the email they sent me......I'm not
sure if they have an album out or not, or just this single, anyway, I'm waiting on something else to download, so I may as well support ANOTHER band that generously sends their work to the BigMan, which to me is as important as doing career retrospectives on great bands like Sonic Youth, say, or Radio Moscow......it's all music, and it's all to be HEARD, NOT fucking SOLD.......enjoy this, or not, I haven't listened to it yet, but that is how we roll around here.....send it to me, and I WILL get it out there!

" Gosh Pith is a band from Detroit making the kind of pop music you’d feel comfortable showing to your snobbiest music friend." - NEST HQ
GOSH PITH is a Detroit-based duo whoDRAW influence from a wide range of genres in creating an unclassifiable sound uniquely their own.
Long-lost childhood friends Josh Smith (vocals, guitar, production) and Josh Freed (beats, electronics, production) reconnected in 2014 and began writing their debut album Window on borrowed equipment,RECORDING INvacant spaces and mixing in friends’ cars. With a keen ability to mesh together seemingly random sounds, GOSH PITH earned early critical attention for their Gold Chain EP (B3SCI Records) from The Guardian, Stereogum, Noisey,Pigeons and Planes and racked up millions of plays across the internet. Soon after, they hit the road, playing headliningDATES across the midwest and east coast, as well as sharing the stage with a broad range of artists including GRiZ, Vic Mensa, ODESZA, JR JR, and Kero Kero Bonito.
In an extension of the same DIY ethos that spawned their very first songs, GOSH PITH’ returned this summer with “In My Car," a song crafted in one of Detroit’s oldest churches, which was recently re-purposed as a creative hub by a group of local musicians after years of sitting empty.
Today, the boys reveal a new single titled "True Blue" via NEST HQ. Josh Smith says "The idea for 'True Blue' came to us while we were in the car late one night driving home from a show atA COLLEGE town in the Midwest - we got pulled over and had a real trippy hour or so with a state trooper. Like most of our music, sex, love, and drugs are the forefront of the story but at its essence of the song is really just about staying true to yourself and everything you stand for." Don't miss GOSH PITH live on their autumn tour starting October 1st.
